What a great restaurant! We went in after being renovated and had a wonderful time. French waitress was wonderful. Drinks were delicious and good was out of this world. Great welcoming vibes. Thank you!

I agree with many of the reviews here. The tables are way way way too close to each other. The servers literally have to pull out the table to let inside guests get in and out (but they don't always come get you when you leave). I've seen people request to sit somewhere else when they saw how close the tables are (there's no running away since all the tables are like that). Regardless if the tables are pulled out for you, the gap between tables is so small. Even when you turn sideways, you will touch the tables. When servers are putting things down or taking them away, they constantly hit guests in the adjacent tables because it's that crowded. I think everyone will be more comfortable if they just removed one of the 5-6 tables per section. Customers wouldn't want to stay longer and order more when the seating environment isn't comfortable. Same for the noise level. It gets awfully loud in there and I constantly had to shout across the table. I appreciate the high ceilings in this restaurant but they should add things to absorb some of the sound too. Food was solid. The price is what it is in Midtown catering to office workers. We shared falafels and leeks for appetizers. The falafels tasted better than I expected. It was small but it's very crunchy and earthy without being too dry. Leeks was something I wanted to try since it looked cool. It's a bit small for the price, but it was very flavorful. The vinaigrette that came with it was an explosion of flavor. It was a green oil that was VERY tart and full of umami from ginger and other herbs without leaving behind a smelly aftertaste. I appreciated that contrast but my coworker didn't like it. For main I got the fluke meuniere. I like the flavors coming from the capers and brown butter. It didn't feel oily or too salty at all. The fingerling potatoes helped ground the dish, and I think it's a better choice than mashed potatoes which would feel too heavy. For dessert I got the profiterole. I like how the dark chocolate fudge is warm and contrasts with the sweeter caramel ice cream. The choux pastry was airy with a soft crunch. I rushed through eating this a little bit but it was a fun way to end the meal. My coworker got the omelette norvegienne aka baked Alaska. I didn't try it but wanted to point out that it was torched in the kitchen and not lit on fire at your table. I guess it makes sense considering the size of the dessert and the distance between tables. The meringue was piped on in a pretty flower shape. Overall, the food is solid, but they really need to do something about the interior.

A part of my job seems to be aligning ppl's schedules and finding place for us to have dinner or lunch. A client was in town from LA and what started to be three ppl turned into a seven ppl moment. Our initial place did not take reservations for more than 6 ppl so we had to pivot and go here. We got everything on the menu and even a dessert tower. Drinks were delicious and strong and the food was just exquisite. I am sure I had constructive feedback at the time, but I honestly cannot remember, which means it was me being nitpicky at that time and it wasn't all that material for me to take home and report back here. The price point is on the high side so it was perfect for a client dinner moment. The client enjoyed the food and so did we. I will say we all were laughing that we had to pay for bread, but it was fine. This will be one of my go to places for business lunch/dinner. I just need to remember where they are located because we did a bit of a loop to find the place. Anyone else struggle finding anything in Rockefeller Center? I do.

On a recent Saturday night, my friends and ventured to Le Rock for dinner. I always eyeball the menu before trying a new restaurant and I was all in for the spiced duck. It was some of the best duck that I've ever had. It was so flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. My friends and I started off with a few cocktails and appetizers. I ordered the escargot, and my friends the barbajuans, falafel, and carrottes rapees, and of course the pommes frites. For the main course, my friends went for the halibut. The three of them were all members of the clean-plate club. I love my desserts and I love it even more when I get a little taste of everything. Luckily for me the dessert menu has Les Mignardises. I ordered for the table thinking "hmmm...maybe one of my friends will pass and I'll get more!" There's nothing more fun for me than tiers of bite-sized sweet goodness. Lots of variety to make everyone happy (macarons, cannelés, fruit gelees, opera cake etc.) If you're stuffed from dinner, this will satisfy your sweet tooth without making you loosen that belt or wish you wore a flowy dress to dinner instead of that bodycon fit.

Le Rock in Rockefeller Center is a polished French restaurant serving well dressed patrons (we spotted Alexander Wang dining at the table next to us) delicious French classics. We started off our meal with sardines, cerevelle de canut and baguette, and adorable seasonal barbajuans. For appetizers we savored the leeks vinaigrette dressed tableside and agnolotti with chanterelle tomato rich with umami flavor. Mains were the striped bass clams haricots, saucisse au comte, and steak hache served with the some of the most perfect French fries I've had in NYC. We ended the impressive spread with gorgeously prepared profiteroles topped with a rich chocolate sauce and fresh cream. Le Rock is a welcome addition to Rockefeller center and is a place to impress a client or special occasion meal for a boujee date

The food and cocktails were wonderful, but service could've been better. I think our server was trying to emulate the French vibes a bit too much with his lackadaisical attitude. We were dressed for walking NYC when we decided to stop in for brunch and no issues with getting a table. I'd however describe the space as classy, especially for dinner.

I had expected a far more pedestrian place when I heard about Le Rock in Rockefeller Center. That idea was immediately quashed upon entry. A classy ambience provided quiet assurance, this will be a great meal. I wasn't sure what to order. Everything looked interesting. My server/bartender must have sensed apprehension and jumped in with much needed guidance. He steered me toward the Tete de Cochon served with a crusty beard, this acidic and savory terrine was great. I might never have ordered the Leek Vinaigrette and that would have been unfortunate. Loved the tart and tangy mixed with the roasted en croute leeks. The Halibut served over spinach with potatoes was beautiful and so tasty. Simply a treat. I finished with the Profiterole, excellent. I'm glad I stopped here and I'm also glad the server was so knowledgeable. The combo made for a memorable evening.
